Zika virus strikes Rajasthan: First positive case detected in Jaipur

A first illness case in Jaipur has tested positive for the mosquito-borne Zika virus, said news reports quoting the medical college officials. An old woman was admitted to the local Sawai Man Singh (SMS) hospital with joint pain, redness in eyes and weakness, whose blood samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for a test of Zika virus. She was confirmed positive of Zika virus spreading panic in the city.
